Hold Strong ("the App") is developed by Peter Ong. This policy explains how the App handles your information.
Data Collection
Hold Strong does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data with the developer or any third party. The App operates entirely on-device.
On-Device Data
The App stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Exercise records (duration, timestamps, exercise type)
- Custom exercises you create
- Personal bests and workout history
- App settings, theme preferences, and notification schedules
- In-app purchase status
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to the developer or any external service.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
Hold Strong can optionally export workout data to Apple Health. This requires your explicit permission. Health data is handled entirely by Apple's HealthKit framework and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer does not have access to your health data.
Device Permissions
The App may request the following permissions:
- HealthKit: To export workout sessions to Apple Health (only when you enable this in Settings)
- Microphone: For voice control features — audio is processed on-device only and is never recorded or transmitted
- Motion & Fitness: For accelerometer-based movement detection during exercises
- Notifications: To send workout reminders you configure
These permissions are used solely for the stated purposes and no data from these permissions is collected or transmitted.
Third-Party Services
Hold Strong does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or cloud services. In-app purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store infrastructure.
Children's Privacy
Hold Strong does not knowingly collect any information from children. The App is suitable for all ages.
Changes to This Policy
Any updates to this privacy policy will be reflected in the App and on this page.
